The Bailey Flanigan in Me...

To all my Karen Kingsbury fan friends!   ♥  and  to Karen and Bailey/Kelsey

I know you all have a character of Karen's you can relate to so well, mine is Bailey Flanigan! Her dream has been to be on broadway, and mine has always been a singer or actress on the big screen.....but I have had this problem of being a shy person. But lately I have been coming out of the shy bubble, with the help of God and my family and friends. While reading the Baxter's book, I got to see Bailey grow in her faith of our Savior Jesus Christ. And now Bailey has her own book series, which I have been so excited to read this year. She has been my role model for quite sometime now.

Through her high school years she had a hard time fitting in with her friends, and so did I! And just like Holden Harris, I got picked on, and I let it go just like him and forgave them. But enough about Holden, and back to the Bailey in me. We both love Jesus with all our ♥ And want to follow his plans for us. (Jer 29:11) And I see she is following her dreams, through the pages of the Bailey Flanigan Series!

With my faith in Jesus Christ, I know I can follow my dreams, if they are HIS plan for me...thats what I learned from thes wonderful books by Karen Kingsbury.

Pray for Joplin

Living in Florida and hearing about this devastation in Joplin, MO..and before Joplin there was the outbrake of Tornadoes in the south.

My heart aches for all who lost so much in those storms...So i'm hear calling all prayer warriors around the world to pray!

Beverly Lewis- The Shunning

From the pages to your own tv screen, Michael Landon Jr. has done it again...
He's a great director and producer, he has done quite a few movies. The Love Saga by Janette Oke and Saving Sarah Cain and now The Shunning, by Beverly Lewis. And some other movies I can't name.

Last night, The Shunning premiered on tv, on The Hallmark Channel. It was a movie I was excited to see, and I'm glad I got to see it. I find the Amish quite fasinating, the way they live, how they live a very simple life. And they seem to be quite content about it too. Even through hard times...

If you havn't read or seen the movie:

I Can see through books, about the Amish how hard a Shunning can be to the person being shunned and thier family members. The movie has also helped me understand it alittle more to, they do out of tough love, in hopes that they will come back and repent,

 

It a must see movie!!!

Why do you ask, well let me tell you?

Because a new Karen Kingsbury Series comes out, called the Bailey Flanigan Series. Its a great christian series, I find my self getting lost in the pages of  Karen Kingsbury books. She is an amazing writer. Her books are something you might want to look into.
But first, you might want to read the Redemption Series; Firstborn Series, Sunrise Series, and Above The Line Series before you read the Bailey Flanigan Series.
